Welcome to Sakahama Gallery site. SakahamaGallery is a small gallery located in Inagi-city, Tokyo.　We introduce works by Kazumichi Suzuki.

Here, we produce mainly Giclee prints, which are high-precision reproductions.

鈴木和道　プロフィール　　Suzuki Kazumichi Profile

1955年東京生まれ。1981年東京芸術大学大学院を修了し、ウィーン応用芸術大学で3年間学ぶ。1984帰国し、85年まで東京芸術大学非常勤講師。以降、ウィーン派絵画スクール設立など、混合技法作品の発表と指導で活躍。セントラル美術館大賞展佳作賞、北の大地大賞展、文化庁芸術祭賞受賞。現在無所属で活動し、個展・グループ展多数開催。２０１８年、心臓に重い病を得て人工心臓の移植手術をうけ、奇跡的な復活をし、現在、日々創作活動を続け、後進の指導にもあたっている。

Born in Tokyo in 1955. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts in 1981 and studied at Vienna University of Applied Arts for three years. He returned to Japan in 1984 and was a part-time lecturer at Tokyo University of the Arts until 1985. Since then, he has been active in the presentation and guidance of mixed technique works, such as the establishment of the Vienna School of Painting. Central Museum Grand Prize Exhibition Honorable Mention Award, North Earth Grand Prize Exhibition, Agency for Cultural Affairs Festival Award. Currently works independently, holding numerous solo and group exhibitions. In 2018, he suffered a serious illness in 、his heart and underwent an artificial heart transplant operation. He revived miraculously. Currently, he continues to work creatively every day and teaches backwards.
